The Unique Learning Methodology

Developed under the guidance and supervision of a seasoned educationalist and tried and tested to suit a self learning set-up by a successful homeschooling mom, this revolutionary method of learning follows the most natural and easy to adopt ways of understanding to string together the Urdu alphabet into words.

Rashda Ghayas is an AMI trained elementary school teacher dedicated to nurturing tender minds and shaping futures for over 25 years. She has authored award winning books and some of her published books are being followed in curriculum of renowned schools in Pakistan.

Here’s what makes her method of teaching Urdu different from the way it has being taught since forever -

  • using the phonetic sounds to recognize alphabets as opposed to their names
  • introducing alphabets in groups of clearly contrasting sounds and shapes to aid quick recognition and learning
  • minimizing confusion by introducing “half alphabets” that would join as-is with other alphabets to form words
  • introducing the concept of Urdu vowels
  • the ability to string together simple words as early as the third module – your child can be reading Urdu in a matter of three days.. or even three hours for the slightly older and brainy ones!
  • prioritizing alphabet introduction based on the frequency of usage, leaving out the rarely used alphabets for the end
  • numerous online and hands-on activities, sing-alongs, downloadable and printable flash cards and worksheets to supplement learning
  • engaging and fun stories to reinforce the differences in similar looking or similar sounding alphabets
